STARBUCK -- Emma Viola Barsness, 90, formerly of Starbuck, died Thursday at the Masonic Home in Bloomington.
The service will be at 3 p.m. Monday at Fron Lutheran Church in Starbuck. Burial will be at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in rural Starbuck.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Hoplin Funeral Home in Glenwood.

She was born Feb. 13, 1915, in Nora Township, Pope County, to Olaus and Ruby (Hagen) Larson.
She married Everell Jerome Barsness Sr. on May 23, 1935, in rural Kensington. She lived in the Cyrus and Starbuck area until she moved to the Minnesota Masonic Home in 1995.
She was active in church women's groups at Immanuel and Fron Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her children: Lorraine (and Orville) Felt of Burnsville, Dale (and Yvonne) Barsness of Danube, Deanna (and Mel) Roller of Lakeville and Starbuck, Everell J. (and Patty) Barsness of Glenwood, Rebecca (and Dan) Janisch of Apple Valley; 17 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and sisters: Myrtle Luthi, Pearl (and Omer) Christianson, and Florence (and Norman) Schwendeman.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1983; three sisters and one brother.
