Trista Ruth Mahlum and Craig Douglas Kavanagh, both of Murdock, are engaged to be married Sept. 6 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Murdock.
Mahlum is the daughter of Eldon and Kathy Mahlum of Kerkhoven.
She graduated from Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg High School in Kerkhoven in 2003 and from Ridgewater College in Willmar in 2005 with a medical secretary degree. She is employed as an imaging/medication prior authorization coordinator by Affiliated Community Medical Centers in Willmar.
Kavanagh is the son of Douglas and Debbie Kavanagh of Murdock.
He graduated from Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg High School in 2002 and from Southwest Minnesota State University in Marshall in 2007 with a degree in biology and a minor in environmental science. He is employed as a management trainee by Glacial Plains Cooperative in Murdock.
