Maggie Swanson and Justin Grothe, both of Kerkhoven, are engaged to be married Sept. 19 at Bethesda Lutheran Church in rural Murdock.
Swanson is the daughter of Vicki and Pete Hopfer of Lake Henry and Jack and Laure Swanson of Willmar.
She is a 2001 graduate of Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg High School in Kerkhoven.
Grothe is the son of Jeff and Linda Heike of Murdock and Nita and Niels Unke of Benson.
He is a 2003 graduate of Benson High School and is employed by Hancock Concrete.
