She is a 2002 graduate of Lac qui Parle Valley High School of rural Madison and a 2006 graduate of the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities with a bachelor's degree in mortuary science. She is employed as a funeral director in St. Paul.
Falness is the son of David and Colleen Falness of Dawson.
He is a 2000 graduate of Dawson-Boyd High School in Dawson and a 2007 graduate of St. Cloud State University with a bachelor's degree in land surveying. He is employed as a land surveyor in Bloomington.
