Jessica Tieszen and Peter Melling, both of Minneapolis, are engaged to be married April 5 at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Mounds View.
Tieszen is the daughter of Lowell and Nita Tieszen of Raymond.
She is a 2000 home-school graduate through the American School in Illinois and a 2004 graduate of Northwestern College in St. Paul with a bachelor's degree in Bible and Christian ministries. She is employed as a receptionist by Bethlehem Baptist Church in Minneapolis.
Melling is the son of Stan and Mona Melling of Duluth.
He is a 2001 graduate of Proctor High School in Proctor and a 2005 graduate of the University of Minnesota-Duluth, with a bachelor's degree in computer science and a minor in business administration. He is employed as an information systems administrator by Desiring God in Minneapolis.
