DONNELLY -- Ervin Herbert Smith, 90, of Donnelly died Saturday.
The service will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at St. John's Lutheran Church in Donnelly. Burial will be at Vinger Lutheran Cemetery in Donnelly.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m., at the Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris and for one hour prior to the service Thursday at the church.
He was born Jan. 12, 1917, to George and Bertha (Hein) Smith. He attended school through the eighth grade in Donnelly.

He married Leana Werk on April 13, 1941. He farmed near Donnelly.
He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, where he was a deacon, an usher and a member of the council. He was a member of the Donnelly Rod and Gun Club, the Donnelly Co-Op board, the Eagles and the Western Tri-County Horseshoe League.
He is survived by his son: Gary (and Pat) Smith of Herman; daughter: April (and Jack) Hoss of Clear Lake; and six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife in 2004, four brothers and four sisters.
