WILLMAR -- Esther D. Howe, 98, of Willmar, formerly of the New London-Spicer area, died Monday at Scandia Home in Willmar.
The service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Atwater. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in New London.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Atwater Funeral Home and for one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday.
She was born June 11, 1908, in Paynesville to William and Susan (Guptill) Schoultz. She grew up in the Paynesville area and attended District 52 School.

She married Henry Feldhaus in 1927. Henry died in 1930. She married Lloyd Howe on Oct. 25, 1933. They lived in the New London-Spicer area and owned and operated a live bait shop and mink ranch. She also worked for several businesses in the New London and Spicer area and at Bethesda Country Home. She worked at a defense plant in Minneapolis during the war. Lloyd died in 1949. She moved to St. Cloud in 1953 and worked for the Golden Oval Egg Company for many years. She returned to the area in 1985.
She is survived by one daughter: Lila (and Ronald) Snavely of Atwater; three grandchildren; 16 stepgrandchildren; two great-grandchildren; 20 stepgreat-grandchildren; and 32 stepgreat-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by both husbands; infant daughter; one granddaughter; two stepchildren; four stepgreat-grandchildren; two stepgreat-great-grandchildren; three brothers, two sisters and three half siblings.
