LITCHFIELD -- Esther Verna Wieker, 91, of Litchfield died Sunday at the Emmanuel Home in Litchfield.

The service will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Litchfield. Burial will be at Lake Ripley Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home in Litchfield.

She was born March 16, 1916, in Harvey Township, Meeker County, to Jacob and Anna (Lohse) Turck. She moved with her family to Litchfield in 1921. She attended Longfellow school through the sixth grade and then moved in 1927 to Cedar Mills where she finished eighth grade. She attended high school in Greenleaf and moved with her family to Strout in 1932.

She married Granville Risch on July 22, 1934, and they lived on a farm east of Lake Minnie Belle. Her husband died May 29, 1964.

She married Elmer Wieker on Nov. 11, 1966, and moved to Glencoe. They moved to Shakopee in 1972 and retired to Lake Manuella at Darwin in 1973. In 2006, they moved to Gloria Dei Manor in Litchfield.

She is survived by her husband; three children: Shirley (and Merle) Hanson of Colorado Springs, Colo., Cherylynn Risch (and Jim Anderson) of Healy, Alaska, and Jon (and Sharon) Risch of Glencoe; three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two stepchildren: Carolyn Pehle and Dale Wieker; four stepgrandchildren; four stepgreat-grandchildren; brother: Leslie of Northridge, Calif.; and sister: Lorayne Erickson of Tyler.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, two brothers and six sisters.
