LITCHFIELD -- Ethel Elizabeth Hemingson, 84, of Litchfield died Wednesday at Dassel Lakeside Nursing Home.
The service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Zion Lutheran Church in Litchfield.
Visitation will be for one hour before the service at church on Saturday. Military honors will be provided by Admiral Benson V.F.W. Post 2818. Arrangements are with Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home in Litchfield.
She was born July 6, 1922, in Litchfield to Fredrick and Emma (Elofson) Towler. She graduated from Litchfield High School in 1940. She was a beautician and owned a beauty shop. She also served in the Women's Army Corps.

She married Edwin Hemingson in 1950. She was a homemaker and worked as a nurse's aid at Emmanuel Home for 14 years.
She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and the Nordland Lutheran Church. She was also a member of the V.F.W. and the V.F.W. Women's Auxiliary.
She is survived by her children: Bruce (and Judy) Hemmingson of Hastings, Eddie Hemingson of Litchfield, Bill (and Connie) Hemingson of Paynesville, Michael (and Robin) Hemingson of Paynesville; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; daughter: Susan Kittleson; son-in-law James Kittleson; and three brothers.
