BUFFALO LAKE -- Ethel Nola Grimm, 74, of Buffalo Lake, formerly of Hector, died Thursday at the Buffalo Lake Healthcare Center.

The service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at St. John Lutheran Church in rural Hector. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Hughes Funeral Home in Hector and for one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday.

She was born Oct. 8, 1931, in Lake County, S.D., to Nels and Lydia (Sjoland) Rinde. She attended school in Cokato and later moved to Crosby-Ironton. She graduated from Crosby-Ironton High School.

She married Milan Grimm in August 1953. They lived and farmed in the Buffalo Lake and Hector areas.

She taught Sunday school and Bible school and was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Osceola Township. She held several offices in W.E.L.C.A.

She is survived by her children: Lee (and Nancy) Grimm of Chisago City, Jack (and Gayle) Grimm of Buffalo Lake, Zelda (and Roger) Baysinger of Buffalo Lake, Charles (and Jean) Grimm of Stewart, Dorene (and Scott) Otto of Hutchinson, George Grimm of Hector, Nola (and Gary) Schwarzrock of Hutchinson, Timothy (and Cindy) Grimm of Brownton; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one sister: Viola Mishich of Milwaukee, Wis.

She was preceded in death by her husband; two sisters and one brother.
