WILLMAR -- Eugene "Gene" Doesken 53, of Cottage Grove, formerly of Willmar, died Thursday at his home after an illness.
The service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Vinje Lutheran Church in Willmar.
Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at church. Arrangements are with Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar.

He was born Aug. 25, 1953, in Willmar to Marvin and Gail (Carlson) Doesken. He attended Willmar schools and graduated in 1971. He worked at Champlin Café, Grumpies Cove, and later drove for Raymond Transfer and Minnesota Express. He moved to Minneapolis in 1982 and worked as a driver and trainer in the trucking and equipment service division for the city of Minneapolis.
He was a member of Teamsters 544 in Willmar and Teamsters 320 in Minneapolis.
He is survived by his wife: Arlene Heuer; children: Sarah and Dan; his parents of Willmar; and one sister: Jan Hood of Spicer.
He was preceded in death by one
brother.
