LITCHFIELD -- Eugene Jerome "Gene" Rohde, 56, of Litchfield died Friday at the St. Cloud Hospital.
The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Church of St. Philip in Litchfield. Burial will be in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery with military honors by Admiral Benson VFW Post 2818.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the church with a parish prayer service at 7 p.m. Arrangements are by the Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home, Litchfield.

He was born July 27, 1950, in Hutchinson to Ernest and Marie (Schnickels) Rohde. He grew up in Dassel and graduated from Dassel High School in 1968. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
On Oct. 26, 1974, he married Helen Klehr in Litchfield. They lived in Litchfield where he worked as a carpenter, subcontractor and truck driver. He was the owner and operator of Mid State Services.
He was a member of Admiral Benson VFW Post 2818 and Nelsan-Horton American Legion Post 104 and the Litchfield Fire Department. He was also a member of the Church of St. Philip and the Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by his wife; children: Jared (and Kelly) Rohde of Dassel, Chad Rohde (and fiancée Linda Boyer) of Litchfield and Tessa Rohde (and fiancé Rick Briscoe) of Litchfield; three grandchildren; brothers: James Rohde of Cold Spring and Gerald Rohde of Litchfield; sisters: Dorothy (and Roger) Johnson of Cokato, Carole (and Dennis) Berglund of Dassel, Shirley (and James) Nelson of Watkins and Audrey (and Paul) Grant of Rapid City, S.D.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
