BUFFALO LAKE -- Eugene Roland Lehman, 57, of Bullhead City, Ariz., formerly of Buffalo Lake, died Nov. 23, after a lengthy illness.

The service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Hughes Funeral Home in Hector. Burial will be at Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Buffalo Lake. Military honors provided by Carl O. Potter American Legion Post 135 of Hector.

Visitation will be for two hours prior to the service at the funeral home on Friday.

He was born March 27, 1948, in Buffalo Lake to Roland and Lorraine (Woller) Lehman. He grew up on the family farm near Buffalo Lake and graduated from the Buffalo Lake High School in 1966. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from April 1968 to February 1970, and attained the rank of lance corporal. He served in Vietnam, and received a meritorious citation, the Vietnam Service Medal and the Vietnam Campaign Medal. He also served for four years with the Marine Corps Reserves.

He moved to California in the early 1970s and managed meat departments in various supermarkets. He returned to Hector, and then moved to the family farm south of Buffalo Lake. He sponsored a stock car driven by Gene Witte. He moved to Arizona in October.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
