WILLMAR -- Evelyn Catherine Peschel, 75, of Willmar died Sunday at Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar.
The service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Evangelical Free Church Chapel in Willmar.
Arrangements are with Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar.
She was born July 12, 1930, in St. Cloud to Anton and Isabelle (Keelor) Cordie. She spent most of her younger years in the Rosen area. She did housework at various farms in the Rosen area and moved to Spokane, Wash., when she was 17.

She married Dwight Okert on April 19, 1949. She married James Nichols on October 9, 1963, in Coeur d' Alene, Idaho. They lived in Montana and divorced in 1967.
She married Fred Peschel on Dec. 31, 1972, in Missoula, Mont. She worked as cook in various restaurants. She lived in California from 1977 to 1980, and worked as a taxi dispatcher. She moved to Willmar in 1980 and worked as a cook for John's Supper Club and VFW Post 1639.
She moved to Bethesda Pleasantview in Willmar in 2003.
She is survived by her children: Linda Hibben (and Harry Winger) of Grand Rapids, Donna (and Gerald) Swift of Willmar, Duane Nichols of Grand Rapids, Rick (and Elarian) Nichols of Missoula, Mont., Diana (and David) Reynolds of Lakeside, Mont., Virgil (and Tammy) Nichols of Maynard; 24 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and siblings: Joyce Lawrence of Waconia, Lois Maitrejean of Emery, Wis., Gerladine (and Irvin) Burns of Sheridan, Ore., Rose (and Jerome) Leavens of Flippin, Ark., Marie Bauer of St. Cloud, Eugene (and Joanne) Cordie of Deerwood, Virgil Cordie of Oregon, and Donald (and Marian) Cordie of Aitkin.
She was preceded in death by her son: David; two grandchildren; six sisters and two brothers.
