Jake Nordin, who helped Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City win a state football championship in 2001, was released recently by the Baltimore Ravens.
Nordin, a tight end, played four years for the Northern Illinois Huskies. He was not drafted but was signed as a free agent with the New England Patriots and Washington Redskins before being cut by each team last season. He was also signed to the New York Giants' practice squad for one week before being released and then signed to the Ravens' practice squad. He was activated for the Ravens' final game last season against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
