Former American League Cy Young Award winner and 1985 World Series MVP Bret Saberhagen has been coaching first base for the Alexandria Beetles in the Northwoods League for the past four days.
Saberhagen's son, Drew, plays for the Beetles. Bret came to Alexandria to stay for a week so he could watch his son play.
Saberhagen pitched 16 season in the major leagues. He won Cy Young Awards in 1985 and '89 with the Kansas City Royals.
