Fairfax woman injured in one-vehicle crash on icy road north of Franklin

A woman suffered minor injuries after she lost control of her vehicle Thursday morning north of Franklin. Martinez was transported to Health Partners — Olivia by the Carris Health Ambulance Service.

OLIVIA — A Fairfax woman suffered minor injuries after losing control of her vehicle Thursday morning north of Franklin, according to the Renville County Sheriff’s Office.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, Connie Martinez, 61, was driving a 2000 Chrysler 300 around 9 a.m. Thursday when she lost control of the motor vehicle on an icy road near the intersection of County Road 5 and 720th Avenue in Renville County.

The Sheriff's Office in an earlier news release had listed the location as south of Olivia.

Her vehicle entered the ditch, causing minor injuries to Martinez.

Martinez was transported to Health Partners — Olivia by the Carris Health Ambulance Service.

The Minnesota State Patrol assisted on the scene.

Marinez’s vehicle was the only vehicle involved in the crash.

The Renville County Sheriff’s Office is continuing its investigation.
