FARGO, N.D. (AP) - A Fargo woman who was pregnant with identical quadruplets when she underwent a rare operation has given birth to three daughters, one of whom died.
Kelli Medders underwent an operation in October to correct a disorder called twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome, which involves blood flow problems. One fetus died at that time.
Medders gave birth on Sunday by Caesarian section in a Minneapolis area hospital. The babies were born prematurely, and one of them was too small to survive.
Medders' husband, Jason, wrote on a family Web site that the two surviving girls were in stable condition after the birth.
