FRANKLIN -- Faye Harriet Berg, 82, of Franklin died Saturday at the Buffalo Lake Healthcare Center.

The service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Palmyra Covenant Church in rural Hector. Burial will be at Franklin Cemetery in Camp Township, Renville County.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Hughes Funeral Home in Hector and for one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday.

She was born Feb. 2, 1924, in McLeod County to Charles and Effie Koelln. She attended different country schools for seven years.

She married Lloyd Berg on Dec. 11, 1941, at the Methodist Church in Hector. She was a homemaker, did seasonal work at Green Giant and at poultry plants in Litchfield and Sleepy Eye. She did home assembly for CSI for several years, and janitorial work at Fairfax Schools for five years and then retired.

She volunteered at Senior Dining in Franklin for seven years.

She is survived by her children: Karen Bohlin (and Tony Negen) of Sacred Heart, Edward (and Sheryl) Berg of Luverne, Eva Singh of Pekin, Ill., Kay Jennings (and Steve Salstrom), Dianne Thompson, all of St. Louis, Mo., Robin (and Henry) McIntosh of Rapid City, S.D., Dennis (and Laurie) Berg of Bird Island, Pam (and Dave) Kienitz of Buffalo Lake; 24 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; 14 stepgrandchildren; and 14 stepgreat-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; one granddaughter; one stepgrandson; three brothers and eight sisters.
