MOORHEAD - A Fergus Falls, Minn., man faces a DWI charge after he drove a vehicle onto railroad tracks in Moorhead early today and the vehicle burst into flames, Moorhead Police said.
The incident was reported about 2:05 a.m.
Police said Matthew Richter, 24, drove a car onto BNSF tracks in the 2100 block of 20th Street South, where the car became stuck and caught fire.
No roadway led to the spot and Richtor could not explain how his car reached the railroad tracks, police said.
Richter faces a third-degree DWI charge for having a suspected blood-alcohol level of .22 percent, almost three times the legal limit to drive, police said.

Richter was one of five people cited for DWI this morning, according to Moorhead police.
