The Meeker County Sheriff's Office said fire caused substantial damage to a garage at a rural Dassel residence early today.
The sheriff's office was called at 12:03 a.m. today and responded, as well as the Dassel Fire Department, to the fire call at the residence on 309th Street.
The sheriff's office said the fire started in a trash container. There were no vehicles in the garage, but there was a substantial amount of damage done to the building.
