Fire destroys shed and equipment in rural Kandiyohi
KANDIYOHI – A shed and farm equipment that was stored inside were destroyed in a fire Tuesday morning on a farmsite south of Kandiyohi.
The structure was fully engulfed in flames by the time crews from four different fire departments arrived at the scene, located at 3535 60th Street Southeast.
Kandiyohi Fire Chief Jamie Swanson said the metal shed and a tractor, grain cart, ATV and a couple older pickups that were stored inside were a total loss, with an estimated value of $30,000.
No other structures were affected by the blaze and there were no injuries.
The cause of the fire is unknown. Swanson said there were no utilities running to the shed and the last vehicle was put inside the shed 10 days ago.
