RENVILLE -- The State Fire Marshal's office is investigating as arson a fire that occurred Thursday evening at a business on Main Street in Renville.
According to Renville Police Chief Ben Dehmlow, officers were alerted to an alarm at 8:06 p.m. Thursday at Tiny Treasures Daycare, 325 North Main, and arrived to find smoke in the building. The Renville Fire Department was called and found that the sprinkler system had activated and extinguished the fire.
Dehmlow noted that damage was confined to one section of the building. He also noted that the day care business has been closed since June of this year.
