WATKINS -- A Sunday house fire along the 36000 block of 670th Avenue in Watkins is under investigation by the Watkins Fire Department and the Meeker County Sheriff's Office.
A neighbor called to report the fire around 12:30 a.m. at the Brenda Carlson residence and the fire department was dispatched. The homeowner arrived a short time later and authorities determined that no one was inside the two-story home.
The house was a total loss. Fire departments from Eden Valley, Kimball and Watkins fought the fire and were assisted by Eden Valley police and the sheriff's office.
