Firefighters with the Willmar Fire Department extinguish a car fire around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday near Third Street Southwest and Kandiyohi Avenue in Willmar. Fire Chief Marv Calvin said the fire started in the engine compartment of the vehicle after the driver parked the car following a long drive. "Pretty much a bread-and-butter, if you can have such a thing, car fire," he said. Calvin said the weather conditions did not complicate the fire's extinguishing. Tribune photo by Bill Zimmer
