Willmar City Council to meet Monday

WILLMAR — The Willmar City Council will hold its regular work session and meeting Monday. The work session will begin at 5:15 p.m., with the regular meeting to start at 7 p.m. Both will be held in the council chambers at the Willmar Municipal Utilities building, 700 Litchfield Ave. S.W.

On the work session agenda is a discussion about remote attendance at council meetings and a presentation from the Community Education and Recreation department. A partnership agreement between Willmar Public Schools and the city will also be discussed.

At the regular meeting, the council will consider whether to pass the "welcoming city" resolution, will continue to look at which option should be chosen for the Civic Center ice refrigeration project and will consider the proposal from the Glacial Ridge Curling Club to build a stand-alone curling facility near the Civic Center.

Also on the agenda is the consideration of an agreement with Engan and Associates for architectural services regarding a possible city hall project.
