Five arrested for theft, drug charges following search in Litchfield

LITCHFIELD - Five people were arrested yesterday after law enforcement found stolen items, methamphetamine, marijuana, drug paraphernalia and packaging supplies at a Litchfield residence.

LITCHFIELD – Five people were arrested yesterday after law enforcement found stolen items, methamphetamine, marijuana, drug paraphernalia and packaging supplies at a Litchfield residence.   

The search occurred around 3 p.m. yesterday in the 200 block of North Sibley Avenue in Litchfield and was part of an ongoing investigation regarding felony thefts in Kandiyohi County, according to a press release from the Litchfield Police Department.

All five suspects were taken to the Meeker County Jail pending felony charges. One suspect, a 35-year-old New London man, faces felony theft charges. The remaining suspects face felony drug possession charges: a 28-year-old woman and 39-year-old man of Litchfield, a 30-year-old woman of Grove City and a 53-year-old man of Clearwater.

The investigation continues and more arrests are expected, according to the news release.

Assisting the Litchfield Police Department were the Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office and the CEE-VI Drug Task Force.
