MONTEVIDEO -- Florence Agnes Gulden, 100, of Montevideo died Saturday at the Luther Haven Nursing Home in Montevideo.

The service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Montevideo. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be this afternoon and evening, with the family present from 5 to 7 p.m. and a 6:30 p.m. prayer service, at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo.

She was born June 13, 1907, in Chippewa County to John and Augusta (Stromenger) Schall. She attended schools in Montevideo.

On Oct. 25, 1924, she married Lloyd T. Gulden Sr. in Montevideo. She worked for a number of years as a cook at several restaurants in Montevideo and at Brookside Manor before retiring. She had been a resident of the Luther Haven Nursing Home since 2004.

She was a lifelong member of St. Joseph's and active in church activities.

She is survived by three daughters: Lorraine Christenson and Glorietta Gilbertson of Montevideo and Patricia (and Jerry) Jones of Galita, Calif.; two sons: Lloyd Gulden Jr. of Montevideo and Paul (and Joy) Gulden of Ventura, Calif.; 14 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death her husband in 1962; two sons-in-law: Galen Christenson and Harris Gilbertson; a daughter-in-law: Vivian Gulden; two grandsons; one great-grandson; three brothers and a sister.
