SUNBURG -- Florence Eleanor Swenson, 88, of Willmar, formerly of Kerkhoven and Sunburg, died Friday at Scandia House in Willmar.
The service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Hope Lutheran Church in Sunburg. Burial will be at Spring Creek Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Harvey Anderson Funeral Home Kerkhoven Chapel and one hour before the service at the church.
She was born March 6, 1920, in Beadle County, S.D., to Richard and Mattie (DeGrote) DeLano. She grew up in South Dakota, attending school at Bavour, S.D. In 1939, her family moved to Minnesota.
She married Alf D. Swenson on Feb. 20, 1943. They farmed in the Spring Creek area and moved into Kerkhoven in 1976. Alf died in 1992. She lived in Kerkhoven until 1993 when she moved to Willmar.

She was a former member of Spring Creek Lutheran and was a member of Hope Lutheran. She served with the church women and did quilting.
She is survived by her children: Bruce (and Wanda) Swenson of Albany, Susan (and Larry) Ness of Great Falls, Mont., and Carl (and Sherry) Swenson of Willmar; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one sister: Geneva Evenson of Benson.
She was preceded in death by her husband; two sons: Ronald and Steve; one brother; and three sisters.
