MONTEVIDEO -- Eric Brandon threw two touchdown passes, rushed for another and intercepted a pass in Montevideo's 33-21 West Central South Conference win over Lac qui Parle Valley Friday.
Brandon, who compiled 176 yards passing on 11-of-13 pass attempts, connected with Shane Black on a 70-yard TD for the game's first score, then threw a nine-yard TD pass to Tom Grages in the third quarter.
Grages also pulled down a 41-yard pass from Shane Black in the second quarter.
Brock Ackerman gained 117 yards on 13 carries and scored a touchdown to lead the Thunder Hawks (1-0, 2-0), who had 449 yards of offense.
Baxter DuFrane led the Eagles (0-1, 0-2) with 75 yards rushing and 83 passing. Chase Keimig scored two TDs, one on a 13-yard pass from DuFrane and the other on a one-yard run.

Shane Kampsen ran for two touchdowns and also caught a touchdown pass to lift Paynesville (1-0, 1-1).
Kampsen finished with 166 yards in 17 carries, scoring on runs of 80 and 24 yards. He caught a 10-yard TD pass from Kody Nehowig in the second quarter.

BOLD quarterback Grant Solem scored on two runs and threw for two other scores as the Warriors stayed unbeaten.
Mitch Neubauer rushed for a game-high 148 yards to help the Warriors gain 281 yards on the ground. Solem ran for 88 yards and completed 6 of 10 passes for 91 yards. Jay Lippert and Trent Neisen were on the receiving end of Solem's scoring strikes and Taylor Wertish capped the scoring for BOLD with a short run in the third quarter.
Cory Jackson accounted for both of Minnewaska's scores with TD runs covering 21 and 7 yards.
