COKATO -- After turning the ball over five times in its previous game, Litchfield didn't commit a turnover Wednesday en route to upending Dassel-Cokato 22-19 to claim a piece of the Wright County Conference title.
Litchfield, Glencoe-Silver Lake and Waconia all finished 6-1 in the conference. Litchfield won the title outright last year.
Dustin Celander scored on a pair of one-yard runs in the first half to help give Litchfield a 16-0 lead at halftime. Kent Johnson completed two-point conversion passes to Kyle Kusler in the first quarter and Alex Euerle in the second quarter.
Johnson then threw a 15-yard pass to Kusler in the fourth quarter to put Litchfield ahead 22-6.
