MACCRAY continued to pile up the points on the ground, Morris outslugged Benson and Yellow Medicine East topped Otter Tail Central in the Section 6AA football quarterfinals Tuesday night.
Top-seeded West Central Area ousted Lac qui Parle Valley, 15-8, and will host MACCRAY at 7 p.m. Saturday in Barrett in the semifinals.
Yellow Medicine East topped Otter Tail Central 27-7 and will travel to Morris, a 35-26 winner over Benson, in the semifinals.

The Wolverines (8-1) scored over 40 points for the sixth time in the last seven games, averaged 9.7 yards per rush and amassing 409 total yards.

Justin Koenen recorded 126 yards on only eight carries, including a 75-yard touchdown run. Mitch Grussing followed with 100 yards on 10 carries and one touchdown.
Koenen also threw for 100 yards and two scores, both to Zach Thissen that covered 57 and 10 yards. Brock Madsen added a three-yard scoring run and Tyler Steen booted a 26-yard field goal.

Morris won its seventh straight game, holding off a late Benson comeback attempt, as Taylor Witt threw four touchdown passes and ran for another.

The Tigers (7-2) scored two touchdowns in each of the first two quarters and led at halftime 28-7.
Benson put 19 points in the board in the fourth quarter, but never got closer than the final margin.
Witt completed 21-of-31 passes for 397 yards. He had touchdown passes of 8 and 18 yards to Nathan Lund, 30 yards to Tony Schultz and two yards to Jared Hastad. He scored on a 34-yard run.
Brandon Berens ran for 208 yards in 47 carries and scored on runs of 1, 4 and 4 yards for Benson.

After Otter Tail Central tied the game at 7-7, Yellow Medicine East put up 20 unanswered points to advance.
Dan Johnson booted two field goals covering 26 and 27 yards and an extra point, ran in a two-point conversion and made an interception on defense to spark the Sting.
Brad Hildahl recovered his fifth fumble of the year, which set up a two-yard scoring run from Kyle Gaffaney in the fourth quarter, and Jarett Berg ran in from two yards out in the first quarter to put YME ahead 7-0.

Kurtis Huisman, playing in his first game since Sept. 29 because of a broken thumb, ran for 136 yards and was part of the first three scoring plays for ACGC. The sophomore running back ran in from 5 and 11 yards out before throwing a 29-yard touchdown pass to Tom Huisman. Huisman, the area rushing leader, now has 969 yards rushing this season.
Nic Leither also scored twice on the ground and Jordan Tanner threw a 21-yard TD pass to Vance Martin as the Falcons led 42-0 before Mayer Lutheran got on the scoreboard.
