Football: MACCRAY rumbles past Fulda, 56-6

MAYNARD -- MACCRAY, ranked ninth in the latest Associated Press Class AA football poll, rumbled over Fulda for a 56-6 win in Little Sioux Conference action Tuesday.

It was the Wolverines' seventh straight win after opening the season with a 32-15 loss to Minneota.

The Wolverines, who finish 7-1 in the league and overall, rushed 44 times for 346 yards and six of their eight touchdowns.

Mitch Grussing led the way with 129 yards on 15 carries and three straight touchdowns. Brock Madsen added 89 yards on nine carries and Abe Winter had 60 yards and two touchdowns, both in the fourth quarter.

Zach Thissen scored a touchdown on a 34-yard interception return and also caught a 73-yard pass from Justin Koenen for the other score.
