Football: NLS rolls past Sauk Centre

SAUK CENTRE -- New London-Spicer bounced back from a tough loss last week to drub Sauk Centre 42-13 Friday in the West Central North Conference.

The Wildcats (3-1, 4-1) owned a 28-0 lead -- behind touchdowns from Jay Moten, Jared Williamson, Shawn Halliday and Taylor Dammermann -- before Sauk Centre got on the board.

Williamson completed 7-of-11 passes for 167 yards and three scores.

The Wildcats amassed 315 yards of offense after gaining only 189 yards last Friday against Albany.

Moten caught scoring passes of 15 and 21 yards from Williamson, who also connected with Jake Essler for a 33-yard score.

Williamson scored on a one-yard run, Halliday from two yards out and Dammermann on a fumble recovery.
