Football: Top-seeded Litchfield rolls over LPGE, 54-27

LITCHFIELD -- The Litchfield Dragons, the No. 1 seed in Section 6AAA, attempted only two passes on the way to rolling over No. 8 Long Prairie-Grey Eagle 54-27 in their quarterfinal game Tuesday.

The Dragons (8-1) ranked No. 6 in the last Class AAA Associated Press poll, churned out 513 yards on 52 carries. Dustin Celander led the way with 202 yards on just 12 carries for a 16.9-yard average. He scored four touchdowns, finding the end zone three straight times between the second and third quarters.

The Dragons will face Albany at 7 p.m. Saturday in the semifinals in Litchfield.
