DANUBE -- Wabasso, the top-ranked team in Class A, ground down upon Renville County West Friday in their Southern Minnesota C Conference football game.
The Rabbits' defense held the Jaguars (3-2, 3-2) to 90 yards of offense, while Wabasso's offense ran for 205 yards and passed for 116 yards.
Derek Riley scored three of the Rabbits' four touchdowns. He scored twice in the second quarter on a three-yard run and a 12-yard pass from Chris Eichten. He finished with 121 yards rushing and 51 receiving.
RCW's Paul Peterson recovered a fumble and picked off a pass in the first half. Brent Jansen led the defense with 20 tackles.
