BELGRADE -- Forrest Scott Verhoeff, 45, of Belgrade died Monday at his residence in Belgrade.
A private service will be at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at the Johnson Funeral Home in Belgrade.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home and for one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
He was born Feb. 29, 1960, in Sauk Centre to Albert and Elaine (Jensen) Verhoeff. He grew up in Belgrade and attended Belgrade grade school and high school. He entered the U.S. Army on Nov. 24, 1978, and was honorably discharged on Nov. 27, 1981. He returned home and served in the National Guard for four years. He worked as an over-the-road-truck driver for five years and then worked in construction. He began operating a sawmill in 1991.

He is survived by his father of Belgrade; siblings: Calvin Verhoeff of Belgrade, Gary Verhoeff of St. Cloud, Doreen Kiken of Sturgeon Bay and Barbara Jensen of Brooten.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
