FRANKLIN -- Francis Joseph "Frank" Allen, 94, of Franklin died Tuesday at Seasons Home in Redwood Falls.
The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Franklin. Burial will be at St. Patrick's Birch Cooley Cemetery in Birch Cooley Township.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Nelson-Martin Funeral Home in Redwood Falls with a prayer service at 7 p.m., and for one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Memorials are preferred to perpetual care of St. Patrick's Cemetery.
He was born Aug. 8, 1912, in Bandon Township, Renville County, to Richard and Margaret (Shore) Allen. He attended District 13 and Franklin schools.

He married Mary Ellen Regan on Oct. 4, 1941, in Franklin. They farmed in Birch Cooley Township for many years. They moved to Garnette Gardens in 2006.
He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, where he served as an usher, was on the cemetery board, and a member of the Holy Name Society. He served on the Birch Cooley Township board for 45 years.
He is survived by his wife; children: Sister Mary Frances Allen of St. Paul, Richard (and Mary) Allen of Spicer, Jane (and Mike) Sullivan of Franklin, John (and Julie) Allen of Marshall; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by eight siblings.
