MORRIS -- Frank Messner, 94, of Morris, died Saturday at the West Wind Village in Morris.
The service will be at 10 a.m. today at the Apostolic Christian Church, rural Morris. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church. Arrangements are by Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris.

He was born Aug. 4, 1914, in Lyon County, Iowa, to Henry and Ricka (Spohr) Messner. They moved to a farm near Hancock in 1925, and he attended School District 45. He did farm work and trapping and later did farm work in Winthrop and in Lester, Iowa. The family moved into Hancock in 1938.
He married Gladys Schmidgall on July 19, 1942. He worked in the trucking business, hauling livestock and concrete products. They lived in the Hancock area until 2006, when they moved to Sky View Court in Morris due to his health. He moved to West Wind Village in March of 2008.
He is survived by his wife; three sons: Sidney (and Cheryl) Messner of Hancock, Beirne (and Joyce) Messner of Hancock and Henry (and Charlene) Messner of Lester, Iowa; one daughter: Beverly Minke of Hancock; 19 grandchildren; and 33 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three grandsons, four brothers and two sisters.
