WILLMAR -- Neither David Johnson's 25 points nor Allen Huselid's five 3-pointers could help Ridgewater overcome Rochester's ability to get to the foul line Saturday.
The Yellowjackets cashed in on 18-of-25 free throws and outmuscled the Warriors 88-74 in MCCC Southern Division men's basketball action.
Johnson turned in a stellar performance with 25 points on 9-of-18 shooting, and pulled down 13 of Ridgewater's 54 rebounds. Huselid knocked down 5-of-11 from three-point range and added 19 points and eight rebounds. Tim Mattern followed with 12 points. Tim Dreier dished out nine assists for the Warriors.
But Rochester's starters were just too strong. All five scored in double figures, led by Matt Gangelhoff and Sean Clarke with 18 point each.
