Fund to help slain woman's child, fiancé established at Bremer Bank in Willmar

WILLMAR -- A fund has been established to remember Vinessa Lozano and to assist her surviving 18-month-old son, Carson, and the child's father, Jacob Janisch.

WILLMAR -- A fund has been established to remember Vinessa Lozano and to assist her surviving 18-month-old son, Carson, and the child's father, Jacob Janisch.

Donations can be sent or brought to the Bremer Bank, Willmar. The fund is in the name of Jacob and Carson Janisch.

Vinessa Lozano, 18, was fatally stabbed when ambushed after she left her place of work in Montevideo on January 13. She is survived by her 18-month old son and fiancé, Jacob.

Jacob is the caregiver for the child.

Eric Lozano of Willmar is the surviving father of Vinessa Lozano and Robin Savoy of Montevideo is the surviving mother. A fund has also been established at the Co-op Credit Union in Montevideo in memory of Vinessa Lozano to assist the family.
