The following candidates filed to run for office on Thursday in west central Minnesota, as reported on the secretary of state's Web site. An (I) denotes an incumbent.
Candidates for county offices may file in their county auditors' offices. Most legislative candidates file with the secretary of state. In the case of districts that do not cross county lines, they may file with county auditors.
Candidates may file through 5 p.m. July 18. They have until 5 p.m. July 20 to withdraw their candidacies if they choose.
After filings close, the Tribune will publish a full list of candidates in the area.
