PRIAM -- Gary Dean Peterson, 57, of Priam died Friday at Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar.
The graveside service will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Roseville Cemetery in Hawick. Military Honors will be provided by the Willmar V.F.W. and American Legion.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Peterson Brothers Funeral Home in Willmar.
He was born Sept. 4, 1948, in Springfield to Roy and Dorothy (Drake) Peterson. He attended school in Lamberton and graduated from Willmar High School in 1966. He joined the U.S. Army in January of 1969, and served as a medic in Vietnam. He was medically discharged in 1970.

He married Donna Barber in 1970. He married Bonnie Hanson on April 24, 1989. He farmed with his brother-in-law, worked as a mechanic, and worked on carnivals in the area.
He is survived by his wife; children: Twyla (and Nathan) Meyer of Arizona, Sandy Peterson of Priam, Gary (and Tiffany) Peterson Jr. of Willmar, Paul Peterson of Priam, Dean (and Heidi) Peterson of Pennock, Shannon Betker of Willmar, Mike (and Stacy) Hanson of Starbuck, Scott (and Vi) Hanson of New London, Tommy (and Aimi) Word of Seattle, Wash., Michael (and Amber) Olson of Willmar; and 13 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son: James Roy Peterson, one daughter: Liveda; two granddaughters; and one sister.
