WILLMAR -- Gary Paul Ristow, 59, of Willmar died Wednesday at the St. Cloud Hospital after an extended illness.
The service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Peterson Brothers Funeral Home in Willmar. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery in Willmar.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Friday at the funeral home.
He was born April 15, 1948, in San Francisco, Calif., to Kenneth and Fern (Peterson) Ristow. He grew up in San Francisco and graduated from Lowell High School in 1966.

He received a degree in chemistry at San Francisco State University in 1971. He moved with his family to Willmar in 1972. He was employed at various jobs due to health reasons.
He was a member of the Wissota Train Club.
He is survived by his mother: Fern of Willmar.
He was preceded in death by his father and a sister in infancy.
