NEW LONDON -- Gertrude Magdalen Koll, 84, of New London, formerly of Olivia, died Saturday at the GlenOaks Care Center in New London.
The service will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Olivia. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Thursday at the church. Arrangements ar e with Dirks-Blem Funeral Service of Olivia.
She was born Feb. 13, 1923, in Morgan to Albert and Sophia (Sturm) Tauer. She grew up and attended school in Morgan.

She married Leo Koll on Nov. 26, 1941, in Morgan. They farmed in the Morgan and Olivia areas. She worked for 15 years at Renville County Hospital as a cook and in the laundry department. She also cleaned at Trojan Seed Company. Leo died in 2006. She lived most recently at GlenOaks Nursing Home in New London.
She was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church, the CCW and her Bible study group.
She is survived by her children: Sharon (and Larry) Weyer of Mission, Texas, Audrey (and Walt) White of Kimball, Loren (and Sharon) Koll of Long Prairie, Quentin (and Sylvia) Koll of New London, Mavis (and Gary) Lamka of Hector, Galen Koll of New London, Cindy (and Jeff) Tengwall of Brooten, Jody (and Gerry) Strommer of Washingtonville, New York, and Shelly (and Gene) Gatewood of Svea; 36 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; sister: Marie Gluth of Idaho; and her brother: Melvin (and Lorraine) Tauer of Morgan.
She was preceded in death by her husband; son-in-law: Dennis Edwards; and two sisters.
