Girls Basketball: Benson rallies past CGB

BENSON -- Benson rallied from a one-point halftime deficit to upend Clinton-Graceville/Beardsley 56-44 in a non-conference girls basketball game Saturday.

BENSON -- Benson rallied from a one-point halftime deficit to upend Clinton-Graceville/Beardsley 56-44 in a non-conference girls basketball game Saturday.

Still trailing 38-37 with eight minutes left in the game, Benson went on a 19-6 run to close out the win.

Courtney Frank had 16 points and seven rebounds for the Braves (9-7). Sarah Ahrndt had 10 points and Abby Fragodt eight points, 16 rebounds, eight assists and five steals.

Jenny Noordmans and Bree Holleman scored 18 points apiece for Hancock, which suffered only its second loss of the season. Holleman also had eight assists and Noordmans had six steals. Chelsey Voorhees chipped in eight points.

Kristin Roles led Minneota (16-2) with 18 points and nine rebounds.
