DAWSON -- Dawson-Boyd held off a second-half charge from MACCRAY to remain unbeaten with a 48-44 win Thursday in Camden North Conference girls basketball action.
The Blackjacks (4-0, 8-0) held a 29-21 lead at halftime.
Nikki Swenson scored a game-high 18 points to lead Dawson-Boyd. MACCRAY limited Dawson-Boyd senior center Chelsie Kurtenbach, who came in averaging just under 18 poins-per-game, to seven points. Kurtenbach led the Blackjacks with 11 rebounds. Heather Voss added 13 points and Kelly Swenson grabbed nine rebounds.
Hilary Groothuis posted a double-double for the Wolverines (3-1, 8-3) with 17 points and 14 rebounds.

KMS (2-2, 7-3) built up a comfortable lead early and never looked back. Esther Peterson had 12 points and Kim Stassen followed with 10 to pace a balanced scoring attack.
Hillary Slagter had 11 points, seven rebounds and five steals before fouling out with five minutes remaining for Central Minnesota Christian (0-4, 1-8). Kari Mulder netted a game-high 13 points for the Bluejays.
