CLARKFIELD -- Yellow Medicine East put some cushion between another conference foe, topping Benson 50-38 in a West Central South Conference girls basketball game Friday night.
The Sting improved to 4-0 in the conference, while Benson fell to 3-2. Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City is second at 2-1.
Taking ad-vantage of Ben-son's foul trouble, YME dominated the boards 41-29. The Sting did most of its damage when Benson's 6-foot center Brittany Holm was on the bench.
Audrey Formo came up two steals short of a triple-double, with a game-high 23 points, 11 rebounds and eight steals. Kristen Hegna added 10 rebounds.
Emily Jensen scored 10 points to pace Benson. Abby Fragodt pulled down nine rebounds.
