Girls Basketball: Groen scores 30; RCW nips Canby

CANBY -- Renville County West held off a hard-charging Canby squad in the second half, holding on for a 56-53 win in Camden North Conference girls basketball action Tuesday.

The Jaguars (6-4, 8-6) went into the halftime break with a 27-18 lead, but Canby fought back with 35 points in the second half. The Lancers outrebounded RCW, 36-23.

The Jaguars' Megan Groen scored a game-high 30 points and had six steals. Jessi Knudson and Kelsey Prahl added seven points each.
