Girls Basketball: Henjum paces NLS win

MONTEVIDEO -- New London-Spicer broke Montevideo's pressure with ease in the first half Tuesday, leading to a 59-42 win in non-conference girls basketball action.

The Wildcats (15-4) stood up to the Thunder Hawks' full-court press with a number of open shots near the basket and finished the first half with a 39-16 lead.

Renae Henjum and Jenn Wendlandt posted double-doubles to lead the Wildcats. Henjum recorded 28 points and 12 rebounds, and Wendlandt added 11 points and 12 boards.
